For more than 15 years, The French Oven, a commercial wholesale bakery, has been providing fine baked products to some of Baltimore’s finest purveyors. Gayle Brier-Billebault and Gerard Billebault started The French Oven in 1995, soon after arriving from Philadelphia.

Gerard Billebault was born in Paris, and is a second generation boulanger and pastry chef. In 2008 he was one of only three pastry chefs to be nominated as Pastry Chef of the Year in Maryland.

The French Oven offers a complete range of breads, both classic and artisan, as well as, an extensive variety of breakfast sweets, retail sized, and food service size.

Operating year-round, six days a week, the French Oven offers the freshest products made daily with the best possible ingredients.
